There are multiple building platforms, from which to take in the estuary views. Nature abounds with your own gorge to explore and relax. A stream meanders from higher up - a natural pool just waiting to be created and enjoyed.

Friday fish and chips at the Te Waitere Boat Club (search FB) to meet up with the locals or take in the regular craft and food markets or a place to cheer at the annual whale boat regatta or if you prefer, participate in the Te Waitere Mountain Bike Classic (https://tewaitereclassic.co.nz/ ).

It takes a certain kind of person/s to live here, to forge a place of lifelong memories, to be part of a resilient community and count him/herself blessed, but you know who you are.
